Duchess Kate steps off the plane in Erdem Moralioglu dress as they begin royal tour

Reuters

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived at Ottawa Airport. The couple were greeted by Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. He unveiled a special flag made for the Royal couple with Prince William's seal of approval.

Kate has made her first outfit change also. She boarded the plane in a navy outfit but landed with her hair worn half up, half down and had changed into a beautiful  Erdem Moralioglu Resort 2012 Cecile dress. Again choosing a Canadian designer. She also chose her favourite LK Bennett sledge 2 pumps with the clutch she wore to Prince Philip's 90th birthday celebrations. Anyone who changes on a plane and look that good deserves serious style points........What do you think of Kate's looks today? The Duchess has reportedly brought thirty outfits with her. The Queen who is said to be extremely fond of Kate has given her the option of taking any jewellery she wishes for the tour. I expect we shall see some classic pieces in the coming days.
The couple greeted onlookers at the airport and both appeared excited and enthusiastic about this historic visit. A young boy welcomed the Duchess of Cambridge. At the National War Memorial event where the couple paid their respects as the crowds began chanting 'We want Kate!' The couple stayed ten minutes longer than scheduled, meeting fans and Kate reportedly accepted the gift of a pillowcase made by Francine Dorian 'It's a tapestry I hope the couple will hang on their wall.'

William and Kate then arrived at Rideau hall where they were officially welcomed. William made a warm speech where he spoke of how he and Kate had longed to visit Canada prior to their marriage. The Duke of Cambridge even spoke in french and joked it would improve as they went along. Kate looked on adoringly. I love how her face is so animated and expressive. The crowds absolutely adore her. Kate mania has officially begun!

William and Kate leave for Canada in matching navy suits

Press Association

After months of preparation and planning the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today, boarded a planet at Heathrow's London airport due to arrive at Ottawa, Canada 2pm local time. One of the aspects most (like myself) were eager to see is Kate's choice of style. The Duchess did not disappoint. Kate and William wore matching navy suits. Kate looked elegant in a fitted Roland Mouret Manon navy dress here and matching blazer with gold buttons by Canadian label Smythe.

This look is reminiscent of the navy Alexander McQueen coat she wore at Irish Guards medal parade. She is clearly a fan of the military look again incorporating gold buttons with navy. She completed the look with Manolo Blahnik shoes and a Mulberry polly push lock midnight handbag available here. I think Kate looks flawless, on the first day of what will be a magnificent tour!

Newsweek shows Diana aged 50 walking alongside daughter in law Kate

Diana, Princess of Wales 50th birthday would have been this Friday. William and Kate will be kicking off their tour of Canada, No doubt thoughts of his mother will be firmly placed in William's mind on what would have been a memorable occasion. What would Diana have looked like now? Would she celebrate her 50th with Harry, William and Kate at an intimate gathering or would she have celebrated in style with her friends such as Elton John? Newsweek's Tina Brown has written an extensive article explaining what Diana may be like now. In my opinion the article is quite tasteless, What do you think?

An age projected photo of Diana strolling alongside her admiring daughter in law, the Duchess of Cambridge features on the cover of the popular magazine. Diana's digitally engineered photo showing what she would look like now is of very poor quality, A photo of Kate attending Sam Waley Cohen's wedding in a Zara dress is placed beside Diana. Brown writes 'Diana would have gone the J crew and Galliano route a la Michelle Obama, always knowing how to mix the casual with the glam. There is no doubt she would have kept her chin taut with strategic botox shots and her bare arms buff from the gym. I believe her best male friend in later years would have been, poignantly, her reviled first husband. She would have initially found Kate threatening. Her edge over Kate, of course was her own epic of princessly suffering, which would always make Diana's story more interesting'. She continues to state that she thinks Diana would be living in a New York apartment and would even be friends on facebook with Camilla (I for one can not see this as a remote possibility).
All of this of course, is simply speculation. Diana was so greatly loved by millions, everyone would have their own idea of how she would have been now. I think Princess Diana and Duchess Kate would have been close friends. They share a love for fashion and mostly a love for William. Diana would still be beautiful and probably promoting her charitable causes. At this time of her life she may have been given the opportunity to retreat from the public eye with the media glare now firmly on Kate.

William is Kate's Mr Darcy: The Duchess is a relative of Jane Austen

William and Kate have shared a fairy tale romance thus far. You could say William is Kate's Mr. Darcy! It has emerged today that the Duchess of Cambridge is a distant relative of the amazing Jane Austen. Duchess Kate's family history has been researched tirelessly since the Royal engagement. Genealogy website ancestry.com made the fascinating discovery while tracing the Middleton's roots.

According to the site, Kate and Jane Austen are eleventh cousins, six times removed. Obviously a very distant relative but there is certainly a connection...... The link they share is none other than a 15th century ancestor, Henry Percy, 2nd Earl of Northumberland who was later killed in The War of the Roses. (Also a relative of Pippa's close friend George Percy) Anastasia Harman, lead historian for ancestry.com said 'Finding this connection between the Duchess of Cambridge and Jane Austen is very exciting, since, in many ways, Catherine is the modern day Jane Austen heroine: A middle class girl marrying the future King of England.
Jane Austen may have written about a happily ever after but it seems Catherine has found a non fiction hero to spend her life with - far past the epilogue'.
Austen is known for writing novels such as 'Pride and Prejudice', I'm sure you've all seen either the Keira Knightley version or Colin Firth's starring role as Mr.Darcy. Sadly Austen never married. No doubt if she were alive today she would love to write about the romance between William and Kate!

Duchess Kate wears Alice by Temperly to Wimbledon

FilmMagic and Reuters

The Duchess of Cambridge looked radiant as she arrived at Wimbledon today with Prince William to cheer on Andy Murray. Wearing a white Alice by Temperly Moriah dress, all eyes were on the Duchess today. The dress is described as 'A pretty pleated knee length dress that will show off your slimline figure. The white disks on the shoulder give the dress an interesting twist. The little white dress is the perfect choice for a simple and elegant summer outfit'.

At Wimbledon the tennis players must only wear white while playing, perhaps Kate is paying homage to this tradition? White is appearing quite frequently in Kate's wardrobe lately, Most recently at Trooping The Colour where she wore a white Alexander McQueen dress coat.
Kate teamed her Temperly dress with her favourite LK Bennett sledge 2 pumps. As for jewellery she wore navy earrings made from Prince Diana's sapphire and diamond earrings.
I think Kate looked stunning today. According to the Alice Temperly site the dress sold out in record time 'We have now sold out online of the dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge  today'.

Kate is a vision in white at Wimbledon

Duchess Kate has been a fan of Wimbledon for years. Recently a letter was released that she wrote to Wimbledon chiefs thanking them for making her visits so enjoyable. Over the past few weeks speculation has been rife that Kate would become patron of Wimbledon. However with the Royal tour to Canada only days away it certainly seemed unlikely. Today, Kate and William arrived at Wimbledon at 12.30 and received a huge applause from the crowd as they entered centre court to see British number one Andy Murray play against Richard Gasquet. It is a beautiful day for it too. 30 degrees c. St James's palace said 'Kate is a keen tennis fan'. The couple may have wanted to relax before jetting off on their tour. It is the first time the couple have sat in the Royal box at Wimbledon.  They will be joined by one of the most successful tennis players of our time, Billie Jean King. Kate looks beautiful in an Alice Temperly white dress while William opted for a navy suit. It is striking how happy and in love the Royal couple look!

Duchess Kate's style at the Irish Guards medal parade

Duchess Kate looked beautiful today, performing her first military role as a member of the Royal family. The 29 year old chose a navy Alexander McQueen pre fall 2011 coat. On Net a Porter the coat is described as 'a double breasted frock coat, navy wool, buttoned epaulets, long sleeves, front welt pockets, slant pockets, high curved front and vent at back. Tailored close to the body this is a commanding outerwear choice'.
The stunning coat is available to buy for just over £1,333  Here. Kate wore the beautiful coat with a navy dress, navy Prada suede shoes a gold shamrock brooch owned by the Royal family, citrine drop earrings, a silver bracelet with the letter 'C' engraved in it. and an Anya Hindmarch clutch. Kate chose a beautiful hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan.

This outfit in my opinion is the most stylish she has worn to a royal engagement thus far. The tailoring fits her perfectly and shows off her slender figure. Kate is developing a signature style and when she chose McQueen for her wedding dress it was a sign of things to come. At the Trooping The Colour celebrations Kate wore a white McQueen coat. It was  also a nice touch how Kate seemed to be matching William's uniform! Her natural make up completed the look perfectly!

The McQueen coat is still available at NET A PORTER

The Duchess of Cambridge carries out first military role as a royal

JustJared

Duchess Kate performed her first military role as a royal presenting medals to soldiers who have recently returned from serving in Afghanistan. Prince William is Colonel of the Irish Guards. A source said Duchess Kate was very pleased to be undertaking this role as the regiment is 'so close to her husband's heart'. Kate looked stunning in a navy double breasted Alexander McQueen coat with gold buttons with matching shoes, and clutch. Kate wore a beautiful golden Irish shamrock brooch on her coat and a beautiful silver bracelet with the letter 'C' engraved on it. Kate has been wearing more McQueen lately and it suits her excellently.  I love this look on her and it's perfect for the occasion. Being a fashionable royal is a difficult task for anyone, but Kate is pulling it off wonderfully. A little girl handed Kate flowers and she and William appeared to thoroughly enjoy talking to her! Both William and Kate looked very happy throughout the day. It was certainly a royal occasion with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall also in attendance.

Duchess Kate's detailed tour plans!

The itinerary for William and Kate's first Royal tour has been officially announced including an hourly schedule including detailed information regarding their trip to Canada and California. On the official Royal tour website, The Duke of Cambridge left a message 'Catherine and I are very much looking forward to our tour of Canada. We hope to be able to meet as many people as possible and to see as much of the extraordinary and diverse country as we can. I have wonderful memories from my last times in Canada, and as such we consider it a great privilege to have been invited to Canada for our first joint tour'.
It seems the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are clearly very excited about this tour. For fans of Kate's style we will all be eager to see what designers/styles/colours she chooses. Will she recycle old favourites? Will she wear more McQueen and Issa? I think we will see Kate honour British fashion while staying true to her signature elegant style. As you will see the itinerary is very interesting and the couple's schedule is full!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official Canada and California tour portait released

The Duchess of Cambridge has recycled another outfit for the official portrait for the Canada and California tour. The navy Amanda Wakeley suit Kate first wore when the couple visited Darwen, Lancashire a few weeks before the wedding. Kate recently stated she would not be purchasing new outfits for every formal ocassion 'Times are tough. I cannot be expect to wear a new outfit for every royal engagement, I am not a fashion model'. In these recessionary times it is good to hear Royals too are aware of their spending.

The portait taken on June 3 was taken in the grounds of Clarence House with foilage in the background will be featured in Canadian and Californian newspapers and websites. The pair are smiling wearing matching navy suits. Kate wears her hair down and looks radiant in this portrait. On their visit to Canada they will visit eight cities in attempt to get to know the locals. I think this tour will really give people a chance to get to know the real Kate, already people seem to love her. The tour is only days away, We all look forward to seeing what she will wear and how the couple interact with their fans!

Get Kate's Flawless English Rose Look

Duchess Kate is blessed with natural beauty. She always looks immaculate yet she doesn't spend hours applying her make up. The Duchess of Cambridge is a fan of the high street often wearing clothes from Zara and Warehouse proving style doesn't have too be expensive. She is the definition of an English rose. She enlisted the help of a make up artist to help her perfect her wedding day look.

On the big day she applied it herself! Kate is a fan of a neutral palette and dramatic eyes. As any woman will know moisturising is essential. Kate recently purchased Nivea moisturisers on a recent shopping trip to her local Boots. Kate reportedly uses the Get in line Eyeliner and Stencil kit  which retails for about £18. The kit is available in a light base shade for light to medium skin tones and a warmer shade for medium to darker skin tones.

If you are trying to emulate Kate's look an even base is essential! Try various foundations until you find a smooth one that matches your skin tones. Kate is a fan of pink lipstick, gloss and liner. Keeping it light and neatly applied. I think this look can carry you from day to night. It's neutral yet striking without taking ages to apply.

Kate's heartfelt thank you letter to Wimbledon chiefs

The Duchess of Cambridge has been a fan of Wimbledon for years. When going to watch the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Kate would have hoped to have been able to enjoy the match in privacy. Thanks to Wimbledon chiefs she was able too enjoy the game like any other fan. A letter from Kate thanking Wimbledon chiefs has been released. She wrote the letter in 2008 thanking them for the 'wonderful seats' she and her friend enjoyed during Centre Court games. The letter was unveiled at the museum inside the Wimbledon Tennis Centre. The letter reads as follows:

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your kind hospitality at Wimbledon last week. My friend and I had such a fantastic time and it was great to be able to enjoy the day knowing that we could have a little peace and quiet if things got a little too hectic.
It was a wonderfully relaxed day and we even spent part of it on the 'Henman/Murray' hill which was great fun. I really was not expecting to be looked after with such hospitality and I certainly wasn't expecting to see any of the centre court games. Thank you so much for the wonderful seats. It was so special to see Murray's game and Nadal's easy walk into the quarter finals.
Thank you again for making it such a fun and enjoyable/easy visit.

Best Wishes,
Catherine Middleton

Duchess Kate redecorates Kensington Palace

William and Kate have been keeping a low profile over the past few days, probably due to moving in too Kensington Palace. Reportedly Kate didn't feel at ease initially and has decided to do some redecorating. The Duchess of Cambridge had an entire crate of candles and room sprays delivered to the 17th century palace in an effort to modernise the place. She felt there was a 'fuddy duddy smell'. Kate had £900 worth of 'Scent 1' fragrances delivered including lavender, sandalwood and moss based waxes. Along with cushions to give their apartment in the Palace a more relaxed feel. A friend of the couple said 'Kate had little say in her marital home. But the only time she's put her foot down was when it came to interior design. Kate has a keen eye for contemporary, effortlessly cool styling and was adamant she and William would make their home feel like a home not a formal residence. Whereas William is used to the the smell and feel of the palace, Kate is used to a more modern relaxed environment. She felt it had an overriding, musty, damp smell and ordered a six month supply of her favourite products. William was happy to go with the flow'.

It is understood Duchess Kate ordered fifteen £38 candles and six sprays. Since Princess Diana passed away Kensington Palace has been somewhat dormant, The only mention of it was in relation to Diana. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seem very keen to feel as comfortable and homely as possible there. It is a world away from their relaxed life in Anglesey wales. The couple are moving into the four bedroom cottage within the grounds of the Palace in the coming weeks.

Kate Middleton Is 'A Natural' At Royal Life

The stunning Duchess of Cambridge graces the cover of this weeks People magazine. One of the most popular magazines in the states, Kate would have had to compete with numerous Hollywood celebrities for the coveted cover. Kate has not only won public and media affection but has settled into Royal life with effortless class. After the Royal wedding, Kate kept a low profile shopping at her local waitrose and sending thank you notes. In the past couple of weeks Kate has really come into her own attending four major events in five days. From her stunning debut at the ARK charity gala, to her cheerful demeanor at the Trooping the Colour celebrations, Kate has been a rock for William, He even admitted he was more nervous than her. She was by his side through the Queen and Prince Philip's birthday celebrations photographed smiling in almost every shot. All of this is a warm up for her first royal tour in Canada and California. Does Kate feel apprehensive about this? According to a Palace insider 'She is taking it in her stride. Now she's a member of the Royal family she's got to get involved in these things. She was acclimated over a long time'. After dating Prince William for over eight years Kate was more than prepared for thew pressures of Royal life. The Duchess is currently in the process of moving to Kensington Palace and making preparations for the tour.

Officials say 'Kate's biological clock is already ticking'

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not even married two months and already speculation is rife about when they will produce an heir. Keith Vaz, Chairman of the Commons home affairs select committee said 'William and Kate have been married for over a month and the biological clock is ticking. We need change soon'. I think this is quite an unfair statement. Firstly Kate is only 29 and they are still in the honeymoon phase of their marriage. The Duchess could hardly be expected to tour Canada and the U.S. while expecting. For any young couple deciding to start a family takes careful thought and consideration, especially when your child is heir to the throne. William and Kate were slated in the press for waiting so long to get engaged with the tabloids branding Kate 'Waity Katie'. During the Trooping The Colour celebrations Kate appeared to be having a wonderful time talking with Lady Helen Taylor's children Estella and Eloise. Like William children warm to her very easily.

William and Kate are officially more popular than Justin Timberlake

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are loved globally, and even by the editor of Vanity Fair magazine! Vanity fair planned to feature popstar and actor, Justin Timberlake on their July cover. Instead they opted for a beautiful candid of William and Kate taken by Mario Testino as part of their official engagement shoot, though Justin Timberlake's feature still appears inside. A source close to Justin said: 'He is very happy with Vanessa's story and Mr. Roy's photos.' Their siblings Prince Harry and Pippa have also been gracing numerous covers in the states. William and Kate's popularity is felt everywhere. We have all been touched by their beautiful wedding and fairytale story. They are as good looking as any Hollywood couple and Kate's style is amazing.

About/Contact

William and Kate's California itinerary revealed!

The itinerary for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's royal visit to California has finally been revealed! The jam packed schedule was detailed this morning at St James' Palace. After arriving in California fresh from their Canadian tour, the couple might be hoping for some rest, but there'll be no time for that. First they will meet up and coming entrepreneurs at a UKTI reception at the Beverly Hilton. This will be followed by a quick meeting with senior politicians and other high profile figures at the Consular General's residence in Los Angeles.

On July 9, William and Kate will head to Santa Barbara for a polo match, where Prince William will play and Kate will present prizes. The game is in aid of American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. Next it's time for some Hollywood glamour! The Duke and Duchess will walk the red carpet for a BAFTA reception at the Belasco Theater. As President of BAFTA, William will make a speech. July 10th, the pair will visit Inner-City Arts, an L.A. program which helps disadvantaged and homeless children through the arts.

That night they will attend a war veterans event at Sony studios called 'Nation, Mission, Serve'. The tour will be a double act but the couple may do separate walkabouts. The Duchess won't be giving any speeches this time. According to royal sources: 'There'll be a time and a place for that'. The couple are keen to keep their entourage to a minimum with only seven staff on board. However, Kate will look stunning especially if she brings hairdresser James Pryce. Overall I think the itinerary is excellently planned. The couple will be promoting charitable causes, and adding a little glamour along the way.

Will Kate feel trapped at Kensington Palace?

As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge prepare to move into Kensington Palace in the coming weeks, they may be feeling more apprehensive than eager. After the divorce of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Diana lived there unhappily. Due to it's high accessibility on all sides, it is perfect for the relentless paparazzi who hounded Diana day and night. Diana referred to it as 'KP' and openly admitted it became more 'prison than palace'. Staff consider it to be seriously 'unlucky'. One might ask, why did they choose to make their home there? William is fiercely protective of Kate and would have considered all viable options before making such a decision. Clarence House was considered until the Duchess of Cornwall declared: 'There's no room here'. St. James' Palace would be considered a depressing place to live for a young couple. Finally Buckingham Palace might have seemed like a sensible option. However senior royals felt this would indicate that the Queen may see William as her successor.

According to a source, Kensington Palace was the only place William had wanted due to his fond memories there of his mother. 'They are memories that are very precious to Will, though he doesn't talk much about his childhood'. After Diana's death it was left as a shell for ten years. Few men choose to move their brides into their mother's home, but it is different for Prince William, and Kate would certainly understand that. She was deeply honoured to have been given Diana's engagement ring and will most likely feel the same about moving into her old home. I do hope it is a happier home for Kate than it was for Diana with a degree of independence. Diana loved to go to the shops surrounding Kensington Palace, but the paparazzi never allowed her that luxury. The couple will make new memories at the palace and Lady Di would be happy to know William is bringing Kate there!

Kate attends Prince Philip's birthday dinner in Stella McCartney dress

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with William's cousins, treated the Queen and Prince Philip to an expensive dinner to celebrate Philip's 90th birthday. Prince Philip was hoping for a low key birthday and an intimate family get together would be exactly what he had in mind. They dined at the three Michelin starred restaurant, The Waterside Inn, at Bray, Berkshire. The group in attendance included Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara Philips and Peter and Autumn Philips. Prince Harry was missing as he had to attend a charity dinner in Ascot.

The group appeared to be enjoying their meal and each other's company at the £150 a head restaurant. The menu included rabbit fillets, pan fried veal with carrots and crispy calf's head fritter and roasted challandais duck. Restaurant staff gave Philip a copy of french owner Michael Roux's Savoury and Sweet sauces cookbook. This morning the Royal family attended a service at St George's chapel in Windsor attended by 750 guests, followed by a champagne reception in celebration of the Duke of Edinburgh.  Kate looked beautiful in a salmon, satin Stella McCartney previously seen on Madonna in 2008.  dress with her hair word down. I mentioned previously today that the Windsor family are looking more united lately and this dinner is further evidence of that. It's very nice to see such a close family and Kate is a wonderful addition.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take part in Garter Day celebrations

The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed looking very happy today at the Garter Day ceremony. Despite her hectic schedule this weekend, she waved from a carriage at Windsor Castle. She beamed as Prince William took part in the annual Order of the Garter service. The Garter knights wore blue velvet robes and black velvet hats with white plumes. Hundreds of eager onlookers watched the service at St George's Chapel.

Kate looked radiant in a Rachel Trevor Morgan hat with a  Katherine Hooker pale blue dress and coat. Her hair is getting quite long and I think it frames her face beautifully. I must say I have noticed since the Royal wedding, The Royal family are looking very happy in general. Kate has breathed new life into the Monarchy just as Diana did.

Kate wears old favourites to Prince Philip's 90th birthday church service

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the royal family at Windsor today to celebrate Prince Philip's 90th birthday at a church service. More than 750 guests attended the service in Windsor Castle's St George's Chapel conducted by the Dean of Windsor.

Kate looked beautiful in a periwinkle purple coat, which she first wore back in August 2009 to a friend's wedding. Kate also appears to be wearing the Zara dress she wore the day after her wedding. (Thanks to poster below :)) Kate's cream heels are LK Bennett. She previously wore them to the derby. Yesterday we saw Kate wearing a dress from 2007 to Sam Waley-Cohens wedding. Kate is certainly thrifty! Today she teamed her coat with a purple dress and hat with her hair worn mostly down. William and Kate appeared to be enjoying the service!

Kate recycles break up dress for the wedding of 'royal matchmaker'

Kate has never been one to wear an item of clothing once then discard it and today was no exception. The Duchess of Cambridge attended the wedding of jockey Sam Waley-Cohen and party organiser Bella Balin wearing a black and white spot monochrome dress. Kate was previously photographed wearing it back in 2007 after she and William had broken up. She wore the satin dress with a chunky belt, black shrug and her hair swept back on a night out at the Boujis nightclub again accompanied by her sister Pippa. However Kate obviously felt the dress deserved a second outing. This time worn with a skinny black belt and the black Philip Treacy hat she wore today while supporting William at Trooping The Colour.

Sam Waley-Cohen has been credited with rekindling the romance between William and Kate after their brief split. Kate greeted him with great affection and appeared very happy. I think Kate looked very chic today, Her dress looked new. I admire the way she keeps her clothes in such magnificent condition. She also has a keen eye for fashion making the dress look more chic than the first time she wore it. It is ironic that Kate first wore the dress after her very public split with William, Today wearing it to the wedding of their alleged 'matchmaker'. A happy ending for William and Kate, and Sam Waley-Cohen and his new bride!

Another outfit change for Kate as she attends friends wedding with Pippa

It certainly has been an eventful day for the Duchess of Cambridge. This morning she supported William at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Wearing an ivory dress coat Kate looked elegant. Just hours later she attended the wedding of close friend Sam Waley-Cohen. The jump jockey is known as the 'royal matchmaker' after being credited for helping William and Kate rekindle their romance after their brief split in 2007. Kate matched the black Philip Treacy hat she wore at the Trooping the Colour ceremony with a fitted monochrome spot pattern dress. The Duchess is known for wearing her items more than once. She was photographed wearing the same dress back in 2007.

Accompanied by her sister Pippa Middleton wearing a green embellished jacket, the pair appeared to be enjoying the day and catching up. One guest said: 'It was a fantastic wedding and I saw Kate arrive at the church with her sister after she apparently drove herself there. She arrived about twenty minutes before the service started and was very relaxed and happy. When the wedding had finished Kate joined the others in making an avenue outside the church for the newlyweds to walk through. There was security but it was very low key. Kate looked lovely but did her best not to overshadow the bride'.

Kate looks on with pride as William takes part in his first Trooping the Colour

The Duchess of Cambridge attended her debut Trooping the Colour ceremony. Kate watched with pride as Prince William took part in one of the world's greatest spectacles of pageantry in honour of the Queen's birthday. It is part of the Queen's birthday parade celebrations but all the attention was focused on William and Kate.

The Duchess of Cambridge left Buckingham Palace by horse-drawn carriage with Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and the Duchess of Cornwall. Kate looked stunning as always, in an Alexander McQueen ivory dress coat with a black hat. She had a tartan quilt covering her knees in the carriage. The royal family then gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace where planes flew by leaving a cloud of red, white and blue smoke. It has been a busy weekend thus far for the royal couple but they are certainly rising to the challenge and Kate's popularity is growing with the public every day. We may have a new people's princess!

Kate shops at Boots before Gala dinner

Photographed just hours before her dazzling social debut at the ARK Gala Dinner, the Duchess of Cambridge could have been any other shopper on London's King's Road. Kate was spotted in flat white pumps, hudson jeans and a cream scoop neck jumper with a lemon vest underneath. Her long, wavy hair was tied back in a bun. Kate was accompanied by two plain clothes Scotland Yard police protection officers while shopping in the Peter Jones department store in Sloane Square where she reportedly spent almost an hour purchasing a small number of fashion accessories. She bought facial moisturisers from Boots low cost Nivea range. Kate browsed through Boots casually unnoticed by her fellow shoppers. Her protection officers keeping a low profile.

The Duchess was then driven back to the Clarence House apartment that she and William are sharing with Prince Harry until they move into Kensington Palace next month. Just four hours later, Kate was transformed, arriving at the ARK Gala wearing a shimmering pink Jenny Packham dress. The event raised £17.2 million for disadvantaged children in the U.K. and around the world. Kate is obviously keen to maintain a sense of normality, shopping on the high street as she had always done prior to her marriage.

Kate: 'I'm loving married life'

The Duchess of Cambridge was the centre of attention at the ARK gala dinner. She looked stunning in her rose sequined Jenny Packham dress. With acrobats and divers the Duchess had a wonderful night, however her mind was focused firmly on her husband. The 29-year-old told guests how happy she has been since since her wedding in April. One would have thought after the wedding of the century there would be an anti-climax.

One guest said: 'Kate said she was loving it when asked what married life was like. She added that it was surreal but that was to be expected. She said she was totally and blissfully happy and her eyes lit up whenever William's name was mentioned. The pair are so clearly in love'. Kate sat beside leading fashion designer Tom Ford. Perhaps we will see her wearing one of his designs next? As William gave his speech, Kate looked on adoringly. I must say this couple look truly in love and it is wonderful to see. A guest asked Kate: 'Where's your husband?' Kate rolled her eyes and replied: 'We always get split up at these things'. We look forward to seeing the Duke and Duchess at the Queen and Prince Philip's celebrations this weekend!

'Princess Diana would have loved Kate as a daughter'

Kate Middleton wowed the nation last night in her classic, elegant Jenny Packham rose gown. William looked at Kate adoringly as she spoke with guests exuding a natural ease, reminiscent of Princess Diana. We have all wondered what Diana would have thought of Kate. There have been rumours she would have been jealous but according to someone who knew her very well she would have adored her.

Disgraced Duchess Sarah Ferguson was a close friend of Diana's. Speaking to Piers Morgan she said they 'would have been the best of friends sharing a love of fashion and shopping. Kate would have been the daughter she always longed for'. Sarah Ferguson was not invited to the wedding but described her delight at the day 'I felt pride, total pride didn't we all? It was an amazing day'. Without question Diana's presence was felt last night at the ARK gala held in the grounds of her former home Kensington Palace.

Video of William and Kate at Ark gala dinner

A two minute video made by the Telegraph shoes the Duke and Duchess arriving at the ARK charity gala dinner. The couple pose for photos and mingle with guests. From looking at the video the one aspect that strikes me is how Kate looks even more beautiful in motion. Photos don't do her justice. In the large number of articles that have been released since the couple arrived at the gala I'm surprised to read negative comments about Kate's fashion choice. Her dress is beautiful but many felt too conservative. As a royal she cannot be seen in skimpy attire. On the whole I think most people loved it. Did you? William and Kate attended on behalf of the princes' foundation. The couple met with Arpad Busson former partner of Elle McPherson, he organised the event. According to reports the event has been a success thus far, no doubt helped by William and Kate being there!

The Duchess of Cambridge dazzles at Ark gala in rose Jenny Packham dress

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have made their social debut as a married couple at the star studded ARK gala dinner. The newlyweds looked relaxed and posed as they arrived in a blue jaguar and posed for photographs. William wore a blue dinner jacket while Kate looked stunning in a floor length rose sequin-embellished gown with crystal and bead detailing by Jennie Packham with LK Bennett rose agata sandals and her hair worn down. The couple were among the first to arrive at Kensington Palace greeting guests. I have to say Kate looked absolutely beautiful she could easily pass for  a supermodel. Her status as style icon is surely cemented now. The Duchess of Cambridge showed no signs of nerves as she chatted to guests. Celebrities including Liz Hurley, Jemima Khan and former miss world Rosanna Davison were in attendance.  After a drinks reception guests were entertained by a team of mexican drivers who performed an acrobatic display. Guest then enjoyed a three course meal. Afterwards William gave a speech commending the work of ARK and hopes for the future 'I pledge to raise aspirations, broaden horizons and encourage young people to achieve'. He spoke of how lucky he feels to have a loving family and a secure home but others are not so fortunate which is why the foundation needs as much support as possible.

Kate sets the trend for Pippa and Carole Middleton

Carole and Pippa Middleton attended a party at the Goring hotel last night without Kate, however her influence was still there! The female members of the Middleton family are blessed with enviably long and lean legs. Regardless of how good your legs are, what woman doesn't want the perfect pair of heels to enhance how good  her legs look? Carole and Pippa followed the trend set by Kate at the Epsom Derby.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked elegant and stylish wearing a pair of £175 nude LK Bennett sledge court shoes with a Reiss dress and Joseph Jacket. Her Mother and sister were photographed wearing near identical pairs of shoes. Kate could easily afford expensive designer shoes but as expected has stayed true to her love of affordable British high street fashion. Millions of women worldwide attempt to emulate Kate's simple, classic look but no doubt she'll be especially glad to know even her mother and sister admire her chic style!

Kate Middleton may have been the victim of phone hacking

A phone hacking scandal in the UK widens to include the Duchess of Cambridge. Notable British celebrities including ex-Prime Minister  Tony Blair, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex are said to have also been victims of this elaborate crime. Kate's phone or bank account may have been hacked by private investigator's working for the News of the World. Several journalists and editors have already been arrested. London police have pooled their resources to investigate this matter thoroughly.

Prince William and Prince Harry have already been identified as alleged victims of the phone hackers for 'The News'. Stories were run using intercepted information from private telephone conversations. This is definitely a worrying trend. It must be quite upsetting for Kate thinking it's a possibility that a simple conversation she may have shared with her mother could have been intercepted. The media intrusion into Kate's life is frighteningly similar to those Princess Diana suffered. Hopefully police will bring this matter to a conclusion swiftly.
